TG536 at RAF Gan in 1960 [photo by Alec Keith via Andy Mutch] TG536 replaced the ill-fated TG579 which was lost to the sea off Gan in 1956 at this time 536 was in the charge of 48 Squadron, when 536 was struck off charge the wings were used for the rebuild of the Halifax in the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington
