This was a terrible accident involving many lives lost  http://www.don-simmonds.co.uk/hastings.htm on 10th October 1961 at El Adem, the aircraft was a write off

An entry in the Ops Record Book for March 1960 as supplied by TNA Kew. Note that the aircraft was an 'Edinburgh Special' meaning a trip to Edinburgh Field RAAF base in Australia, the Edinburgh Special route had priority over all other operations due to the nature of the cargo the aircraft was carrying which would have been destined for Edinburgh Field
