Crashed at Abingdon on the 9th October 1953 Stanley England took the photo which was forwarded to me by his son Clive the crash happened at Abingdon at night on 9th October 1953 in inclement weather [fog]. Fortunately there was no loss of life, the aircraft eventually became an instructional airframe

I wonder if the black mark by the AQM's porthole is where a prop blade penetrated, if so this will have been the second such incident I recall
