I served on SASF RAF Katunayake/Negombo from December 1958-March 1960 and TASS/TASF at El Adem from October 1963 to August 1965, we were generally kept very busy with Hastings transiting through

In those days I was known as 'Gary' Cooper simply because there were too many 'John's ' around at the time
