One here that I was involved with, in as much as I was a passenger on board when this aircraft 'landed in the sea' 1.5 miles short of the runway, fortunately we all [20] pax and crew survived. The full story can be found here  http://splashdown2.tripod.com/index.html

This is my rendition of TG579 before she met her watery grave on 1st March 1960  ........... was it really that long ago? I am now 75 years old and still suffer the nightmares of that nighttime crash in that storm lashed sea.
