Hastings TG552

Tricia Neale the daughter of the late Leading Aircraftman Dave Neale several years ago forwarded to me photos that her Dad had taken at RAF Lyneham of TG552 and again at RAF Negombo when TG552 crashed, I am reliably informed, from a crew member, that the co-pilot had the controls of TG552 and he was not authorised to land an aircraft carrying passengers according to the report there were no pax on board and had a go http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=19510412-0 , the rest is history, I will put up the photos before and after, again many thanks to Tricia for allowing the use of these photos

There was such a heavy landing that the port undercarriage collapsed, the aircraft groundlooped which in turn tore the port wing off, there were no serious injuries but the aircraft was a Cat 5 write off [Pic the late LAC Dave Neale via his daughter Tricia]
